Our teachers educate children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth while meeting the requirements of licensing and Step Up to Quality. They nurture children’s curiosity and creativity while ensuring their safety and well-being during school hours. They promote academic growth by teaching basic literacy and numeracy skills , develop activities that integrate learning concepts, and adapt daily routines to individual and group needs. Our teachers manage classroom behavior and support emotional well-being while fostering a positive, trusting relationship with children, families, and team members.
This role assists the Center Director with the implementation of strategies to increase awareness and support of the program by families, local businesses, community members, social service agencies and educational institutions. The Support Coordinator manages child enrollment and tour potential families as well as coordinating with the EHS Family Advocate. This role serves as Lead Float and provides classroom coverage as necessary as well as maintaining various databases and reporting to include such items as the appropriate tracking of daily attendance, swipe reports, and Safety Reports.
The Operations Coordinator models developmentally appropriate teaching strategies and classroom management techniques during classroom coaching sessions. In addition, the coordinator reviews teacher’s lesson plans, and students’ individual plans to ensure they are current and used for the weekly lesson plans. This role coordinates transitions for children moving from infants to toddlers and toddlers to preschool. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for various reporting and document and database management. Also accountable for In-Home activities for parents as well as assisting the Center Director with orientation tasks for new teachers and college interns.
The Cook maintains a written recipe book and plans lunches and snacks according to the recipes; also provides alternative food for children with allergies and/or special diets. Must have demonstrated experience with proper food handling. The cook is responsible for maintaining the kitchen, ensuring the cleaning, and sanitizing schedule is followed per the code of Department of Health and ODJFS (Ohio Department of Job & Family Services). Tends to the proper organization of foods and inventory. Maintains a healthy workspace. Completes annual food safety training and stay current with Ohio Child Nutrition Standards.
